Lila Torres, a lifelong animal lover and Austin native, had just adopted her third rescue cat while juggling a full-time marketing job. She realized how desperately Austin pet owners needed a reliable, joyful, and genuinely caring pet care option. So she quit her job, leashed up her dog Mango, and never looked back.
What started as solo dog walks and weekend grooming sessions out of Lila's East Austin garage quickly grew into a full team. Today, Paws & Whiskers Co. employs six passionate pet care specialists — including certified groomers Marco Diaz and Priya Nair, and head walker and trainer Jordan Reeves — each chosen not just for their skills but for their genuine, heart-bursting love of animals.
Our mission is simple: treat every single pet like the precious, irreplaceable family member they are. Whether it's a senior Labrador with arthritis who needs extra-gentle handling or a feisty kitten who won't sit still for a nail trim, we show up with patience, expertise, and a whole lot of treats. We serve busy working parents, college students, remote workers, and everyone in between.
We believe that great pet care is built on trust, transparency, and tail wags. That's why we send photo updates after every session, maintain open communication with every pet parent, and never cut corners on the products or time we give to your furry family.
